Waqas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children aged 6 and up, adolescents, adults, elders, and couples. He is a Harford County native with experience in providing therapy to a diverse demographic. He is also a multilingual counselor, offering therapy sessions in English, Urdu, and Hindi.


Waqas welcomes individuals from all walks of life and encourages those who feel as if they are not heard to reach out. This includes men, individuals on the autism spectrum, and those experiencing career trajectory concerns. He has worked in a variety of different mental health settings to help clients manage and cope with stress, depression, anxiety, burnout, chronic pain, substance misuse or addiction concerns, and low self-esteem.


Waqas believes that the only constant in one’s life is change, and he is focused on
collaboratively helping his clients incorporate healthier strategies into their lives to improve their overall functioning. He uses a person-centered approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and multicultural approaches to highlight his clients’ unique strengths and encourage personal growth.
